Workshops change with the seasons, but these are the regulars.
Learn to crochet
Holding the hook, chain and single crochet, and your first small project. Pairs perfectly with the Learn to Crochet Kit.
Waistcoat stitch and colourwork
The stitch that looks like knitting. Learn the technique behind the Albany Walk Cowl, working from a chart and managing colour changes.
Assigned pooling shawls
Turn a hand-dyed skein into blossoms. Shaping, popcorn stitches and reading your yarn, based on the Leura Blossoms shawl.
What to expect
- In person: sessions run 2–3 hours in the Sutherland Shire, NSW. The exact venue and parking notes are in your confirmation email.
- Online: live over Zoom with a close-up camera on Kathy's hands. The link arrives the day before, and a recording is shared afterwards for a limited time.
- You'll get the pattern or handout as a PDF before the day, so you can read ahead.
- Questions welcome at any point. No one is left behind.
What to bring
- The hook size and yarn listed on the workshop page (a small materials kit is available at some sessions)
- Scissors, a stitch marker and a notebook
- Reading glasses if you use them, and good light if you're joining online
- A cup of something warm. It's that kind of morning.

How do I book?
Choose a date above, add it to your cart and check out with PayPal or Square. Your seat is confirmed straight away and the details land in your inbox.
What if I can't make it?
Let Kathy know 7 or more days before the workshop for a full refund or a transfer to another date. Within 7 days you're welcome to send a friend in your place.
What if the workshop is cancelled?
If Kathy has to cancel, for illness, venue issues or not enough bookings, you'll get a full refund or a transfer, whichever you prefer.
Can you run a workshop for my guild or group?
Yes. Kathy regularly teaches for guild branches and small groups, in person around Sydney or online anywhere. Send a message with rough numbers and dates.
Is there an age limit?
Workshops are designed for adults. Teens 14+ are welcome at in-person sessions when accompanied by a booked adult.
